Ellen von Unwerth
Untitled Film Still #48 (casually known as The Hitchhiker). Created 1979. Gelatin silver print on paper. By Cindy Sherman - though her father actually snapped the picture. This is part of a series of photographs done by Sherman in which she appears as fictitious characters in scenarios resembling moments in a film. She used vintage clothing, wigs and makeup to create a range of female personae which she then photographed in apparently solitary, unguarded moments of reflection, undress, or in conversation with somebody off-set and outside of the frame. Two of the six most expensive photographs in the world were taken by Sherman.
Detail from Dreams of Summer, oil on board, now showing in Rome at @dorothycircus In case you there ♥️#kukula#dorothycircus

You can be as mad as a mad dog at the way things went. You could swear, curse the fates, but when it comes to the end, you have to let go.
