Kirsten Larson: American Girl Gone Bad - Brooklyn, NY : citynoise.org
In an abandoned lot in Redhook, Brooklyn, I found this heart breaking sight, Kirsten—a once innocent American girl—strung out.
Kirsten, it seems, came to the US with her family from Sweden, in 1854. In Minnesota, she faced the hardships of adjusting to life as a pioneer in a new and unfamiliar country and the challenge of learning a new language. But then she came to NYC. See what happened next.
