Ball jointed doll by Marina Bychkova When she was seven, Marina saw her first Barbie doll commercial on television. To her, the doll was a vision of beauty that she never knew existed. She remembers the moment as an almost religious experience, with Barbie aglow in a full white gown like an angel. She thought to herself, if there is a God, then it must look like Barbie.
